Sielaff UK and StrongPoint Partner to Install Reverse Vending Machines in 170 Tesco Ireland Stores
StrongPoint ALS, in partnership with Sielaff UK, has successfully rolled out Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) across 170 Tesco Ireland stores, in line with the country’s Deposit Return Scheme (DRS), which launched on February 1st.

This collaborative effort not only met the scheme’s tight timeline but also marked a major step in Tesco Ireland’s commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
Streamlining the Rollout Process
The installation program was a complex undertaking, requiring careful planning, coordination, and quick execution. With the DRS’s start date fast approaching, StrongPoint’s ability to deliver at speed was essential. Working closely with Sielaff UK, they ensured that every Tesco Ireland store was equipped with RVMs in time to meet the February deadline. This rapid deployment was a testament to StrongPoint’s capability in delivering large-scale projects efficiently, without compromising on quality or service.
A Positive Impact on Sustainability
The Reverse Vending Machines are a key element in Tesco Ireland’s sustainability strategy, helping the retailers meet environmental goals by encouraging customers to return used bottles and cans for recycling. The installation of these machines empowers customers to participate in the circular economy, offering them a convenient, user-friendly way to recycle their beverage containers.

Tesco Ireland’s collaboration with StrongPoint has proven to be a resounding success. By leveraging StrongPoint’s expertise in automation and retail technology, Tesco has not only complied with regulatory requirements but has also enhanced its environmental initiatives. The flexibility and scalability of StrongPoint’s solutions allowed Tesco to implement the RVMs efficiently, maximising the positive environmental impact of the project while also providing customers with a hassle-free recycling experience.
