StrongPoint Installs AutoStore™, the First in the World to Handle Frozen Goods
Norway’s Oslo — The world’s first AutoStoreTM Multi-Temperature SolutionTM with a frozen zone has been successfully implemented by StrongPoint, a retail technology company dedicated to improving supply chains and stores. Haugaland Storhusholdning, a division of the Norwegian food distribution organization DLVRY, has set up its first location at a building in Sveio, Norway.

A single AutoStore cube can have several temperature zones thanks to the Multi-Temperature Solution. With a temperature range of -25°C in the frozen section and +6°C in the cooled sections, it is made for both frozen and chilled situations. In order to improve the working conditions for operators, frozen product picking takes place in the chilled area at the ports, removing the need to pick items in extremely cold temperatures. Customers will be able to have a solution that can improve their frozen inventory’s speed and efficiency as a result.
