StrongPoint was selected to assist East of England Co-op Stores in implementing Pricer Digital Labels.
Leading retail technology company StrongPoint is happy to report that East of England Co-op, a UK grocery retailer, has decided to use Pricer’s digital labels and Pricer Plaza, a cloud-based platform, across all 120 of its food stores.
StrongPoint ALS, the UK business unit, will oversee the deployment of the digital infrastructure throughout all 120+ outlets. With initial assistance from StrongPoint ALS for installation documents and on-site supervision, East of England Co-op will install the electronic shelf labels.
StrongPoint ALS and Pricer AB successfully completed a multi-store trial prior to the rollout.
“We are incredibly pleased to present the UK’s largest electronic shelf label project to date. This emphasizes how advantageous Pricer’s infrared-based technology is for supermarket chains. With such a progressive grocery store, we are excited to begin the roll-out and the beginning of a long-term, mutually beneficial cooperation,” stated Alex Eveleigh, SVP of StrongPoint UK & Ireland.

Because price tagging requires multiple manual stages and is prone to human error, it is frequently one of the store’s most resource-intensive jobs. The procedure is made more difficult by the fact that you must take promotions into account in addition to pricing. Price management and store operations are both optimized by electronic shelf labels. Because of pick-by-light, it can help speed up order picking for online orders.
