StrongPoint Labels signed the new HP Indigo 8000 at Drupa
StrongPoint Labels has invested in a new digital printing solution that has the potential to double the printing speed compared to its previous digital printing technology. The solution, called HP Indigo 8000, is a brand new printing press and StrongPoint Labels is the first customer in Scandinavia to utilise this advanced technology, and one of only five in Europe.
“We always want to be first with the best technology,” says Leif Persson, StrongPoint Labels’ Managing Director. “Thirteen years ago, we were the first in Sweden to buy the HP Indigo ws4000 and many were sceptical to that investment then. It turned out to be very successful, and we are confident this investment will be equally successful.”
This new digital printing press increases speed and capacity by 100 %, Persson said. It will also increase flexibility, provide better colour consistence and reduce waste.
“Buying the HP Indigo 8000 is an investment in our ambitious growth strategy for the future,” Persson says. “It will enable us to attract new customer segments and also offer new types of services to our existing customers.”
StrongPoint Labels also invested in the new finishing machine Digicon Series 3, Fast Track, to keep up with the increased speed of the new digital printing press.
